silence of secret things by Amylia Grace
storm clouds.
dark skies.
the moon.
harsh
& cold
and somehow
believing
in all this
is safer
than believing
in hope,
in levity,
in the goodness
in others
& in us.
we are timid
like the junetime
wind, wet
& soundless
rains.umbrellas
in the car
and regret
coming hard
down,
in sheets
& shards
sharp &
shattering
the molecules
in the air
and us--
dissolving
whatever
providence
remains.
the power
to control it
isn't ours.
