a sad tale of an orchid and a window
i wanted an orchid
and so i got one.
so i had to find a saucer
on which to hold it.
when i found the saucer,
i needed the table.
and the table,
in its turn,
needed the window.
the window needed the house,
and the house needed all the furnishings;
and what were they, without the people?
and so i found myself outside the house
looking in the window,
longing for an orchid.
