Artist Statement


Gina Vasquez is a photographer currently residing in New York City. Her unique conceptual style ranges from portraits to nature, and anything that catches her eye. Through her photographs, Gina aims to bring her emotions and imagination to life in a way that resonates with the viewer.

GINA VASQUEZ is a fine art photographer from New York City. She became interested in photography in 2011, joined an online photo community, and taught herself how to create expressive photographs. It became her biggest passion, and from there she decided to pursue a degree in it. Vasquez graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Photography in 2014, and is currently finishing a degree in Art History and Museum Studies. Aside from photography, she loves reading, animals, nature, and is an avid classical music fan. Vasquez plays the piano, flute (and recently, began learning the violin), and enjoys incorporating musical ideas into her photographs.
