As in a Dream by Greg Billingham

With you
The day puts on its perfect blues
In the eyes of sunflowers
And the yellow fever of their dresses

In the fields as in the bare feet of forests
You are like a campfire
Your hair of smoke your body of twigs

Your body
With its fragrance of storm clouds and sand
Its commotion of deserts and mountains

Its daily rain
Of scattered and fleeting things

Greg is a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a BA in English. He is currently living, working, and writing in New Hampshire. Previous or forthcoming publishing credits include White Whale Review, Tonopah Review, Emprise Review, amongst others.
