Mara Jebsen | The net
Really it is hopelessly snarled
Each thread of this life hooked to the others
The fine hairs on my thighs
The Milky Way
The burnt bottom of the pan
Pattern and pattern
I tried to stop time
I played my lungs like a clarinet
I tried to wash my innards with oxygen
Because the hours had begun to snowball
And I’d read in a book you can make it stop
All the same the days died gorgeously, asmolder
The lamps came on in the park
I refused to have a memory
I said no thank you, just for now,
I want to be alone.
