Waiting For A Plane To Paris

I watch a woman
with multi-colored scarves in her hair
walk by and hope a woman in Paris,
with multi-colored scarves in her hair,
is waiting for me,
a woman entangled in nylons in her bed,
a woman I will like if not love.
In a flat in the Marias
chairs hang from a wall,
Ponge lies on a red table, pears and beer
in the refrigerator-so many months
of beautiful anticipation. I'm glad
I know nothing and have everything to learn.
