Each issue of Up the Staircase Quarterly features an Issue Illustrator, an artist whose work was chosen to pair with and complement the poetry of the quarter. Issue #42's artist is Eva Dominelli.

Eva Dominelli is a Vancouver Artist and freelance Illustrator. She has a BFA in Illustration from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and has been exhibiting her work in Vancouver since 2008. Her enigmatic gouache and ink illustrations playfully depict dreamy narratives where private and public experiences meet, and the mysteries of the everyday are investigated.
